St Bart’s is an evangelical Anglican church, present in Norwood since 1856. Each Sunday we gather at 10.00am in a style of service that blends contemporary and traditional elements. We deeply value hearing from God’s Word in all the elements of our service and we have a vibrant music ministry. Our children’s program caters for ages 0-13 and is overseen by Danielle Ho, our qualified Children’s minister.
During the week St Bart’s provides ‘Music and Fun’ Playgroup for parents with children aged 0-5. Currently around 30 families enjoy Playgroup every Friday morning during School terms, 10.00 – 11.30am.
St Bart’s has a range of Small Groups meeting mid-week in people’s homes for Bible, study, prayer and fellowship for people of all ages and stages of life. In these groups we seek to grow as a community of people who follow Jesus.
In recent times St Bart’s has been growing in it’s love of hospitality and the arts. Our building has a ‘Cafe area’ and a newly renovated kitchen so that we are well set up for gathering for morning tea, lunch or evening events. We desire to make this space a place of welcome to the wider community.
St Bart’s has published a book of poetry composed by local authors inspired by our stain glass windows, entitled ‘Light and Glorie’. We have recently become a venue for the Adelaide Fringe to make the most of our beautiful heritage building and excellent acoustics for the enjoyment of musical performances. The ministry at St Bart’s is overseen by Simon Jackson, (Minister 10am)
